| Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, a one-man show about the life and career of boxing legend Mike Tyson, is playing this weekend at the Orpheum Theater. |
Who knew Mike Tyson was funny?
Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, Spike Lee's two-hour one-man show starring the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, is without a doubt one of the most enjoyable live theater experiences I've ever had. Tyson, alone on stage for the show's entirety, reveals his life story through anecdotes, photographs and video clips which cover his rough-and-tumble childhood on the mean streets of New York, his meteoric rise to fame that left him with more than $400,000,000 in the bank and the infamous fall from grace that followed.
Although most of the revelations in Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth were met with roars from the crowd, perhaps the evening's most memorable was a story that included his soon-to-be ex-wife, Robin Givens, a stoned Brad Pitt and a driver's seat blow job.
If you're within range of the show's tour stops, buy a ticket.
